The time it takes to level up feels really bad.

In Path of Exile 1, the campaign takes maybe 8-12 hours depending on how slowly you take it, after having done it a few times. In Path of Exile 2, it takes at least double or triple that amount of time, but you end up around the same level after completing both.

This means that you earn levels half as fast, so you interact with the skill tree much, much less often. It feels bad looking at a notable you want that's several nodes away and thinking "this will take me another few hours to get to.

The levelling is the fun part. Anything past Act3 is barely even worth playing, at least in relative terms. The endgame is cooked currently, partly due to the neglected balance. It is to be seen if they're even going to get that right.

Also, what are you really hoping for here:
- extra movement speed is gonna trivialize a lot of the combat they've worked so hard on.
- removing acts is downright backwards.
- they've been really clear on campaign skipping; not gonna happen.

PoE1 is still going to be maintained.

Bottom line, get used to it or ditch the game. It's going to have a significant player base with or without you.

Areas should be made smaller. There should be an out-of-combat sprint button. Smaller areas mean monsters can give a slightly increased amount of experience to compensate. None of this infringes on "the vision", unless having an extremely padded-out campaign completion time is part of "the vision".

Yes, the campaign matter. It's the Game ; not the Endgame. It's the most enjoyable part of PoE2.
I'll say exp from 95 and up could use some tweaking. Raise the ceiling on mob level, 82 just doesn't cut it...which isn't reliably produced anyways outside of RNG, so you're generally at 79-80. I think capping them at 90 would be fair...get you through to 95-97 and the grind to 100 is your own personal project.
