Cannot make a sale to another player through trade website on POE 2 EA [Xbox Series S]

I can make purchases from other players just fine [even if i rarely get communicaton], but every time someone wants to purchase, the trade and whisper buttons are greyed out.

Every single time since release.

My console is set to allow crossplay, and crossplay is enabled in the game [disable crossplay button is unchecked].. What is going on? Hope its just a dumbass mistake on my part.
