attribute notables from controlled metamorphosis diamond do not work

if the attribute notables are "inside" of the ring from controlled metamorphosis, they do not give you any of the 3 attributes (strenght,dex,int)

for example, if I normally pick an attribute notable, I can take +5 to intellect. In this case it will read "+5 to Intelligence"

with the controlled metamorphosis, if it overlaps an attribute node that you have already taken (and even if u haven't taken it, this same applies) it will just read "+5 to any Attribute, Can be allocated without connection to the tree" however, you can't choose any of the attributes you want.
I even tried respeccing completely, putting in the controlled metamorphosis and then picking the attribute nodes inside the ring, choosing Intelligence. Same issue persists, it will read "+5 to any attribute" and you don't actually gain any attributes at all.
