Movement and Skill Input issues
Sorry if im spamming but i just wasn't sure i placed this thread initially in the right place.
Hi so im guessing its not really a bug but i think this must be addressed. the gaming experience in poe2 is like 20 times better when using just keyboard or controller over mouse+keyboard. i will try to explain the problem as i see it from a technical standpoint and also offer a solution which i am sure not too hard to code into the game and can make the gaming experience 20 times better. when using mouse+keyboard input, any skill regardless of which button its assigned to, targets the cursor, so no matter what skill i use(dont pick on my word here i didnt really check ALL the skills) if itys a mouse button or a keyboard key, it 1st wals up to the where my cursor is, and then uses the skill. overall its fine except the fact its annoying as hell and the only way to beat that behavior is to keep holding "attack in place" which is not even a toggle button at this moment when using only keyboard input, all skills behave as if they are "attack in place" regardless of if assigned to a mouse or not. ----------the solution--------- "Attack in place toggle button" PER SKILL INPUT meaning, the same way when i click a skill input button and i have to select the skill which that input will use, add a button which will decide if that skill behave normally or as if the user holds "attack in place" with it, or as if it would work if the user was using a keyboard input. and it can even be placed in the same window/box/menu where the skill is being selected for the input i can see the benefit of having all inputs targeting to cursor but for some mechanics its just annoying as hell and since the code for all of the above-mentioned mechanics already exists, all that is left to do is to tie them together in a configurable manner this will be a HUGE Q.O.L improvement for everybody, especially the players who use mouse and dont want to switch to pure keyboard input Последняя редакция: Spankey#3706. seriously??? no one could even bother to respond and let me know it already exists????
operantly exactly what i offered already exists in the skill screen if you dive deeper to the little arrow thingy where it show your DPS at the bottom of the extended screen well, almost exactly, my offer was to configure it to the input button regardless of skill, but configuring it to the skill regardless of input works just as well i really hope people know that thing is possible |
