Multiplayer maps with friend

Since the update when running maps with a friend (his maps) and i leave to go to town I can't interact with the portals and they have no names anymore i cant enter them he has to leave (go to town) for me to be able to enter the map again. This has never happened prior the latest update. He's on Xbox I'm on pc. I'm also assuming it will do the same for him on my maps ill edit this if that's not the case and only happens to me.
