Unannounced Stealth Change Ruining Map Flow in PoE2, SO' What you gonna do bout it ?
Subject: Unannounced Stealth Change Ruining Map Flow in PoE2, SO' What you gonna do bout it ?
Dear Grinding Gear Games, SO' this is new. Apparently, now when you clear a map, instead of progressing naturally, some rare mob magically spawns all the way across the other side of the already-cleared map—and you have to go hunt it down just to finish the map. What kind of nonsense is this? Did someone think this was a fun change? Because backtracking through an already-cleared area is the opposite of engaging gameplay. Was this even intentional? Or did some clueless intern accidentally introduce it, and now we’re all beta-testing their mistake? Why was this not communicated? You love posting about minor balance tweaks, but somehow this kind of core gameplay change gets slipped in without a single mention? Seriously, what is the logic here? The whole point of mapping is flow—moving forward, clearing, and progressing efficiently. Forcing players to backtrack just to check off a box is nothing but artificial padding and an unnecessary frustration. If this was supposed to make gameplay better, then someone clearly has no idea what makes PoE enjoyable in the first place. SO' what’s the plan? Is this getting reverted, or are we stuck with this stealth nerf to pacing because someone thought “surprise backtracking” was a good mechanic? Looking forward to an actual explanation—because right now, this just feels like yet another case of developers making unwanted changes and hoping nobody notices. Sincerely, A (very annoyed) PoE player Brewskie Последняя редакция: BrewskiesBrew#0748. Время: 10 февр. 2025 г., 10:12:10 Last bumped10 февр. 2025 г., 10:10:51
