Map lost - Stuck in boss Areana

I don't know what triggers it, but every now and then when i go into the arena to fight the map boss, upon killing the boss, i can no longer get out of the arena to complete the rest of the map. This results in me losing the map. My only work around so far is saving map bosses until the last thing to do.
