Warrior broken build / strength attribute points

I had a level 8 Warrior and noticed that I wasn't doing very much damage. Surprisingly, my strength was only at 7, and all of the points that I had been putting into strength were going straight to dex. I thought it might be an equipment issue, so I tried removing all equipment and rspecing fully. I could not get any attribute points to be allocated to strength as they continued to go straight to dexterity every time I increased that attribute.
