My honest take on GGG PoE 2 Vision and opinion going forward

I wanted to point out this thread is NOT about patch 0.2 specifically, but what I think the direction the dev should go for going forward.

Firstly, it is impossible to please everyone. I think everyone here agree. I am sure everyone & their mother-in-law has a vision of what their ideal arpg is, but a game, is not made for you, me or any individual alone.

The devs have a vision of the game, & its perfectly fine to feedback to them how you feel. Ultimately, it is still their decision, their game.

We already have PoE1, we do not need PoE2 to be PoE1, just prettier.

If dev wanted to go for soullike slow combat, combos, and long campaign, power to them.
I would suggest have a few difficulty modes.normal (more loot, easier progression), hard (current stand), but its up to them to decide.

ALso, on a side note. What is the point to make campaign hard, then end game to be easy.....If anything, you want the opposite, Campaign should be when gamers get to experiment and make chanages. But it may be just me.

Bigger player base or keep their vision (current one) & returned to be a successful but niche title, they have to pick a lane.

They are unlikely to outdo D4 in player base by trying to cater to wider audiences, certainly not while still maintaining the current vison & grindiness. The time have changes, it not D3 vs PoE 1 days where the latter has the advantage of recurring income of live service.

Let be real here. PoE2 (or what would become) was announced in (I think)2017, and after 8 years, they managed to finish only 3 acts...What about PoE mobile? What about PoE1 support.

They ordered too much food to their table.

What I think they should do then?
Be grounded, keep their vision, stop trying to please everyone, stop trying go for causal audiences (It will fail) but do listen. and do not order more than they can finish. Scape/or hold the mobile game if not already.

Finish the Campaign, delay extra chars to later, and focus on improving end games, itemization.
