Corruption Nexus Quest

i just went into mapping and did some tier 1 maps and encounter the corruption nexus quest, the corruption nexus didnt show up on my map, i tried partying with others and completed it yet the quest shows no progress. How should i deal with this, im missing out my progress and atlas points and i feel like its such a waste of time if i keep mapping tier 1 and try to find corruption nexus further out.

Need to explore for corrupted areas. Each corrupted area has 1 node thats a brighter colour, thats the one that grants atlas points.

Takes about the same amount of maps to find them as the old 'complete 10 t'x' maps"
