Auto aim is a MASSIVE problem
There have already been MANY posts about this issue; at least 20, dating all the way back to the first few days after release. So I'm not going to go into much details. Suffice it to say, it's a massive problem for both ranged and melee, and for all classes (though monk seems to have the worst time with it). It turns what could have been one of the best combat experiences in an ARPG into something just mediocre, and often frustrating. I really do think it's the biggest problem with the game.
I'll link just a couple of the many other threads talking about it below: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3608404 https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3653738 https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3681010 https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3687189 https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3601746 GGG, all we ask is for a toggle in the settings to turn it on or off. All you fellow players who would like this fixed, please reply with a +1. Maybe if this thread gets enough attention, the devs will finally listen. Last bumped19 апр. 2025 г., 13:52:43

Imho every arpg trying to please clickmove mouse users, wasd users and controller users while maintaining console interface and mechanics is destined to doom.

Even though the official answer will most likely be the good old "we tried it, trust us in poe2 you want it but you don't want it". |

You never stated your personal problem... I use autoaim with PS4 controllers and see no issues with multiple classes. Perhaps 1/100 interactions does not feel right but far and few between.

" The main issue for me is that my character doesn't target where my mouse is. It's not a 1/100 issue, it's a constant one. You're not experiencing it cause you're using a controller. |

" It's mainly an issue for combo abilities, when you break armor on a foe and then try to target that foe with your other ability but another larger target moves in the way for instance. The new spear also has this issue with Parry and Disengage, where you Parry but then on Disengage a bigger foe or a quick one runs by screwing up the targeting and your Disengage is wasted... I don't know how targeting works on controller but for M+K the mouse is the target and it's on hover over which means larger targets take priority... |

It really is, and is a bit worrying that they released EA with what i consider to be one of the biggest problems with combat rn
