Whirlwind Lance + Adaptive Assault interaction causes performance drops

Hello, I've previously reported the Whirlwind Lance + Gambleshot support gem performance issue. Now that I am trying out the Adaptive Assault passive, the 25% chance to fork with Whirlwind Lance is really making the game unplayable.

I'm guessing it's the Gambleshot support gem's fork chance is the culprit as well.
