Evasion based character
I don't understand how a pure evasion character survives in this game.
I started with a Merc and got it to 52, and now pretty much only play warriors (have a 38 so far this season and go to 28 last season) I am still scratching my head on how a pure evasion character would survive. No HP and No energy shield and eventually you will get hit. So is it just a game of dodge role everything and hope your evasion works when you can't get out of the way? Or do you actually just take enough dex to use your skills and gear and then stack energy shield after that? Last bumped2 мая 2025 г., 04:08:34

I think there needs to be some options to increase the health pool a little in this game
That said, Evasion works pretty well I use Armour / Evasion on the merc and it helps a lot Последняя редакция: Glowie_Zigger#5018. Время: 13 апр. 2025 г., 07:30:07

Pure evasion does not survive.
You need to stack life or es for 'pure' evasion build. If you saw any kind of build with 80 evasion and 1600 life somewhere on YouTube - that build is not endgame viable |

I really hope they do something to help out the evasion based characters. Either adding in some life on the passive nodes or life per level or more life on gear. It definitely feels like builds that don't have a decent amount of energy shield are just always on the edge of death. It gets very frustrating to seem to be doing well and then a mob sneezes on you and you die.

Evasion is not meant to be useable as a single defensive layer
It has attrition built in to make sure you will get hit Armour helps but it is also designed to allow big hits through You need enough damage reduction so the big hits don't completely destroy you So either ES (the default choice for most), block, physical as elemental coupled with high resistance, whatever you can find to reduce the impact of those big hits |
