Endgame Game Design Made Wrong
Today I would like to ask if I am the only one who noticed that the game system is wrong.
What exactly is the error? 1. Step one, I find a place on the map where there are several towers that overlap. 2. In step two, I make my way to the first tower, and I'm already forced to complete waystones that don't give me any rewards and have no interesting content. 3. Step three, I activate the first tower. I'm interested in the Ritual. And this is where we run into a game design mistake. - My task is to get to the other towers. I'm interested in the ritual. I can't go through the content I'm interested in on the waystones, because the ritual already has a VALUABLE reward. - A ritual without a high level of investment will NOT allow me to buy or even defer this item, so it will simply be lost. 4. I'm forced to make my way to other towers, ignoring the content I'm interested in, while spending time and charges on ritual tablets that are not free at all. 5. I spent about 3 hours completing waystones that don't give rewards, content that interests me IN FRONT OF ME inside waystone I'm running, but it's simply blocked. I would be happy to hear other players opinion on that topic, thanks for your attention and time. Stay safe, Exile. Последняя редакция: GoldenWindHisame#3196. I wouldn't say it's "wrong". I also primarily play ritual and agree with most of your points, though. You need high investment to get the expensive items. You need to overlap towers if you want to reroll multiple times and defer for little to no cost. I like the current system, though. I like how it takes some planning and skill to be able to optimally benefit from ritual.
Honestly, my only complaint is that purple omen of annulment SUCKS. My emotions go from "YESSSSS I found something good!" to "oh, it's the one 'trash' purple omen". Is there a special use case I'm missing, or is it simply two annulments glued together? |

My point here is:
1. I want to do ritual 2. Ritual is in the Waystone 3. I can't do ritual cause i dont get enought tribute to defer item that is inside, it's not like i want to get new item, no. I already found let's say 5 Divines, it's already deferred, and I can't do rituals while I setup cause I will lose this reward. 4. Meanwhile other mechanics like Expedition or Breach don't have that issue, you are not losing anything if you do half-juiced Breach/Expedition. You may even get better reward like 10 breaches or Logbook in non-juice done map. |

Yeahhhh, that can be an issue. The NEED to run past the ritual content and not complete it, as to not risk the red-outlined high-value items from being removed from your reward pool. It's a bit clunky and unintuitive for those not "in the know".

" I think the issue is.. you want to minmax "too much" and the game is designed towards a lower level of minmaxing and more of "enjoy the ride" |

So game is designed to be in the way: "You have 2000 tribute, here is cool item but defer is 3000 so you just lose it"?

There's literally a node that reduces deferral costs by 50%.
You can even respec only for the non-juiced maps into the 4 rituals, extra packs and reduced deferral costs and you wont ever have an issue with deferrals. "Beidat honored the pact, though Mancy wouldn't take off Doryani’s prototype."
