If you were given a key for spending over $480
Apparently that key only allows you to download the game and not actually play it.

I was gifted the key my friend had gotten for spending over $480 on POE because he had already purchased the game. With the update yesterday i lost access to the ability to play.

I reached out to support and explained my situation and this is their response.


Hey there,

This code is intended to be used to add the game to your library. It is not intended to grant access to other accounts I'm afraid.

The only way to obtain Xbox Early Access is via an Xbox Early Access Supporter Pack. I'm sorry if this was not the answer you were hoping for.

Thanks for following up with us.

As stated in the Early Access FAQ: "Upon purchasing your first supporter pack that includes an Early Access key, that key will be automatically redeemed on the account the purchase

was made."

So, that's correct. If you already have Early Access on your account, such as from purchasing an Early Access supporter pack, if you receive the invitation for those who have met the

lifetime support threshold, that will be sent in the form of an extra key you can use or distribute as you please.

None of this makes any sense i have spent money on the game and would respectfully would either like to get my access back or my money returned for the items i have purchased.

The pack has 2 different types of keys.

1 key is to add the game to a steam library, it doesn't grant access to the game, it just let's it be opened from steam or another launcher.

The other kind is the early access key, which the $480 pack comes with 5-6(cant remember)

Were you able to play the game before the update or just download it?

Similar story here, Ive bought this on both PC and Xbox, my wife was playing on the xbox using her own account via account share, she has even bought microtransactions for POE2, to be told now that we will have to buy a 3rd key.

We are just going to quit and not look back.

Jonathan is acting like a spoiled brat that wants to keep this game good for him, and him only, not the people paying to keep the lights on.

This is a shameful way to do business.... But they are owned by tencent, that should tell you everything.
