I get the basic reasoning they were using for removing this skill from the game, but I disagree. Without using the scepter, this means there is no 'tanking' or melee summon. This is extremely limiting in scope. It outright means anyone using a 2H weapon simply can't have them at all, same with people dual wielding non-scepters, or spears, and more.
Effectively, this means only 'pure necros'. So, basically, one build type. Until a character gets way higher in level, this leaves them limited to snipers, arsonists, and casters. There are builds that aren't 'pure necro' who would make great use of having skeletal warriors, but don't want to, or can't, use a scepter. Please put it back into the game. " And, what are the spirit requirements for these? Betting a lot more than the ~21-25 Skeletal Warriors require. Also, Specters aren't until level 26 or so, right? Again, not at 1st-20th levels. Having only ranged minions available unless using a scepter is not the right approach. |

I agree with OP, I get that since sceptres have bonuses to your minions you'd probably want to use them anyway, but... I think it really sucks that it means you are locked into one weapon type for the entire rest of the game.

" Unearth: 1- does not create minions until there are corpses. 2- minions are extremely temporary. 3- using that defeats the purpose, as having persistent minions allows for using other abilities. Using unearth, you may as well be using the minion scepter. |
