Hit Endgame maps after rerolling to DeadEye and immediately bored

...like, instantaneously. I saw the overmap, played a few maps, and noped out.

There is something fundamentally off with the game right now. Guess I will be playing LE after all.

The whole maps and atlas feel very boring to me too. You do so much work and it feels like you are not moving towards any goal.

Got better since last patch, but I agree something is fundamentally wrong. I don't think I would ever feel good about scrolling around an infinitely expanding map and clearing nodes.

The only maps I ever do are the boss ones. If a node has no boss I throw the lowest waystone I can find and just run through the whole thing not even looking at the drops.
The overmap system is really just a reworked Delve mechanic, but with none of the charm and reward. Firstly, I love Delve, so if it means actual Delve will never appear in PoE 2, that's already bad from my perspective. But also, the tedious scrolling map is the worst thing about the Delve mechanic in an even worse form.

Secondly, the Tower system is irredeemable. There is no way to make it not tedious. PoE 2 has taken the immediacy of PoE mapping and introduced extra steps. I want to just alch and go. In PoE 2 I have to jump through endless, tedious hoops just to get to the maps I actually want to play with the juice I want to play them with.

Endgame players in PoE play to grind. The grind has to be slick, immediate, and enduringly fun. It also has to have almost endlessly scaling rewards. PoE's is very close to this, which is why people can play it for months on end.

PoE 2's endgame is a (re)design that no one asked for. The only thing GGG can do it completely overhaul it IMO. Replace it with a new system that is fluid and fast and intuitive - kind of like the one that already exists in PoE.

Good design draws upon or logically extends the elements of the existing world. What do Towers have to do with Wraeclast? Like, what are they even doing in the world? It's so obviously a design conceit. Get rid of them, and do something that makes sense.

You didn't miss much, endgame/endless atlas is pretty much the same with T15

IMO should have sticked to original plans, 1 game 2 campaigns.
POE2 grafics in poe1 with great endgame foundation to build up on, actual support with 3-4 month quality patch cycles and not this current awkward situation where one of the 2 games get's no love.

Anyway, didn't happen and there's no way back now.

3.26 soon tm, hopefully a banger
I like turning everything green before going further, and I hate how they punish me for doing that compared to snaking spiral style like a boat rescue pattern for most efficient farming.

it means i get holes everywhere while I look for citadels..

You get enough precursors that if you snake from tower to tower you can always juice everything, so doing it chasing the 80-130 exalt maps is way better than trying to clear the zones i'm in.

That's my build for context (This is for juicy minmax gameplay too and I hate that the pattern for efficient gameplay feels bad.)
