Snipers Mark not always generating Frenzy Charge(s)
![]() Hello there, I've been noticing this for a while now but I am finally at a 100% crit chance (as far as I understand the tooltip) and can rule out multiple unlucky 1% non crits in a row. Even if carefully applying Snipers Mark to each monster and targeting it directly I do not always generate a Frenzy Charge, I can even go multiple Monsters in a row without generating one. I am obviously also hit chance capped and have tested this in maps that don't have the "evasive" monsters mod or "crit resistent" rares to rule out any intentional mechanics that would prohibit me from hitting or critting. I also took a possible internal cooldown on Snipers Mark into consideration (which is not stated on the gem itself) but I can often start maps and not getting a charge for the first few monsters, so there cannot be any cd or diminishing return on the Snipers Mark in effect (if that even exist) at that point. So I don't know either I am missing something here or Snipers Mark doesn't reliably work or the crit chance displayed on the tooltip is way off. I think the top number is your chance to critically hit (21% not a 100%)

" Top number is my main hand base crit chance and the number below is the additional crit chance I get through the amazon ascendancy (accuracy conversion). The tooltip reads 21.75% + 78.3-110.2% (from ascendancy) which even on its lowest is above 100%. 21.75 + 78.3 = 100.5%. At least this is how I understand it. Even if I am completely wrong, 21.75% is way to low of a number with how much I invested into crit and the ascendancy mechanic on top. Sometimes Snipers Mark feels like damn near 100%, its just those weird moments, often at the beginning of a map but sometimes seemingly randomly in between where it just won't generate charges. |

My critical hits is as follows.
Main Hand crit chance 79.56% Main Hand effective chance for crit hit 95.82% Main Hand effective chance for twice crit hit 63.3% est main hand crit chance from hit +51.04% - +102.08% Main Hand crit damage bonus +341% Snipers mark doesn't generate charges all the time for me either, hopefully someone will explain how it works. |

Which Skill so u use , to kill the Monster?
Do u use lighting spear? LE also consumes Frenzy charges. For example. If U use lighting spear and a Monster dies u got 1 or 2 charges with the Support gemacht, that let u geht Sometimes 2 charges. If u only her 1 Charge IT IS imidiatly consumed. Therefore , i use spearthrow with 2 Pin Supports and 2 Points for Pin in the tree. With fork or gamblefork Support, u generate max Frenzy charges with 2 or 3 arrows in a group of monsters, and than use LEbl to clear Screen. U need the Support for Spearthrow Not to consumes charges. I am Not Sure, If this IS Ur Problem . But maybe this IS a temporary fix |

I noticed this too that is why i did away with snipers mak and started running kikos current gloves I stay with 2 - 3 charges all the time that way. and no longer have to use electrocute gem

Noticed it too , I am a dead eye not a amazon, but it seems that somehow even if the mark is consumed from a target I do not always get the charge...
Wouldn't want to go with kitoko to be honest because I lose a slot and I am already strained with resistances life and so on. Never invite Vorana, Last To Fall at a beer party.

Thats why I wrote, that I carefully apply Snipers Mark and try to single target a monster and slowly hit it to test the Frenzy Charge generation and its not working properly quite and clearly. " Kitokos work with Combat Frenzy but this is about Snipers Mark. You reach a point in scaling your build where you want something with a little bit more punch in your glove slot. So anyways, I did a little bit more testing. I used the default attack (still 100% crit chance on tooltip) and tried it out for a bit. Same result. 2-3 out of 10 stabs do not create a Frenzy Charge. Again tested it on regular monsters with no modifiers. I am hitting them (as in not missing my attacks), they are just not generating. Snipers Mark might still be bugged but I got a sneaking suspicion that the Critical Strike Chance displayed on the tooltip is not correct, like not at all. Because with no links in the default attack I sometimes one shot enemies I tested it on and generated a Frenzy Charge and sometimes I did not one shot them and did not generate a Frenzy Charge which can only mean I didn't crit them, which should be impossible based on my tooltip crit chance. Instead of what the tooltip says it feels my actual crit chance is more like 75-80%. Now, I have only played Huntress (Amazon) this patch so I couldn't test crits on other classes but it begs the question if the entire "Critical Strike" Ascendancy Note on the Amazon is bugged or not working properly too. I just now played a map where I got the "always deal critical strikes" shrine and even during its duration, not every attack on a (Snipers) Marked target generated a Frenzy Charge. Again, felt like only roughly 7 out of 10 did generate a charge.
I don't know what to think anymore. Might be multiple bugs from different mechanics at the same time. Its on GGG to hopefully be aware and figure it out, I am gonna link this thread in the Bug Report Forum. |

when I use it, it seems to only generate on direct damage kills, not procs or secondaries. Even then, it's not consistent. In early levels, it was predictable. In Maps, where most things are dying to procs/secondaries, I don't notice it happening at all... YMMV. :) (Glacial Bolt, Artillery, Heralds,etc)
