State of Group Play

Please at some point in the EA development cycle examine the state of group play in PoE2, including non-engineered/optimized groups.

This is something that PoE1 didn't always get right and still doesn't, but feels especially bad in 2 right now. Atlas progression in 0.1 was at least somewhat sharable with a group where 0.2 creates a scenario where playing casually with friends creates unfun catch-up homework for you to do later.

I also strongly believe that if you tried to ascend with a casual group (true with Sekhema, and extremely true with Ultimatum) you would instantly find ten things you wanted to fix. In a game that in many areas feels polished this feels like a lot of sharp corners.

Add Simulacrum to that list. Super easy to get locked in the previous area if another player goes ahead.
playing together is such a big factor when it comes to fun.... so yea i dont think they even have a vision for this.

Yeah group play is busted, especially if you’re not running meta, even in the campaign.

Mob health scaling was so bad in 0.1 me and my friends elected not to play together after trying for a bit (that’s the sign of a great game right there /s) I can’t imagine how bad it is now in 0.2 with all the nerfs.

Unfortunately I don’t know I’ve ever seen GGG mention anything about group play, planned fixes, or any indication it’s on their radar.

In their defense there’s enough to fix right now it makes (unfortunate) sense group play isn’t a priority. We’re kinda talking about landscaping the backyard here while the house is on fire.
