Not Everything Has to Be RNG

Alright, let’s talk about this whole RNG thing in PoE2. Seriously, when did the game become a full-time lottery simulator? From the moment you start, it feels like RNG is the game's way of saying, "Good luck, buddy!" and then laughing in your face.

Take crafting, for example. Remember when crafting used to be a way to take your gear to the next level? Now? It feels like I’m just throwing random orbs at an item and hoping the RNG gods bless me with something decent. "Oh, you want to craft something useful? Nah, here’s a 1% chance of success and an 99% chance of complete failure!" That’s not crafting, that’s more like gambling. At this point, I could probably have more luck at a casino with fewer tears and a higher chance of winning.

And don’t even get me started on item drops. I’ve spent hours upon hours farming and I swear I’ve seen the same crappy item drop more times than I can count. I’m starting to think PoE2 is just a game of "Let’s See If You Can Get That One Item You Need Before You Lose Your Mind." Spoiler alert: You won’t. At least, not without spending every last currency you have in a desperate attempt to hit that one perfect combination of mods that may or may not even be useful.

Look, I get that RNG adds excitement to the game, but at this point, it feels like the whole game is just one big RNG lottery, and the chances of winning are… well, pretty much zero. The balance between RNG and player agency is so skewed right now that it feels like I’m just waiting for the game to give me a break. Maybe, just maybe, I’d like to actually have some control over my character progression without needing to rely on the whims of fate.

At this rate, I’m starting to wonder if I should just rename my character to "RNGesus" and hope for a miracle. I’m all for some randomness, but can we at least make it feel like my effort is being rewarded rather than praying for a lucky drop?

Anyway, that’s my rant. I’m still playing, but seriously, let’s dial back the RNG a little. A game should feel challenging, not like I’m trying to beat the odds every single time.
