Triggered Impending Doom spends Energy Shield on every occurrence.
Playing as Lich with an active ascendancy skill "Eldritch Empowerment" and
as title says, impending doom costs Energy Shield on its post expire trigger. If I'm allocating the node "Event Horizon" in this case it will start to drain even more from ES each time it triggered on every single "expired curse". Why the hell shall I pay % of my max energy shield per each freaking explosion on curse expire triggered spell if I already payed for it as 130% mana cost as support and % of my energy shield to actually cast a curse? This triggered spell doesn't cost any mana, but why then it costs me a ES? I really hope that this is just kinda a bug and not that you were meant to behave it in this manner. Otherwise air around all of it becomes even more stuffy. How do you imagine to use such a self killing mechanics in scope of tones of mobs which are devastating your ES even without touching you. Even with an extremely high ES (such as 15k and more) it is still hurts because of percentage costs. Even if the ES starts less than in a sec and its regen is really fast - it is still all the time pushes you towards ones shot from any source because your ES is always at its minimum level during combat vs ordinary mobs. yea same here, Non - channeling spells cost an additional 3% of maximum Energy shield. From my understanding impending doom has no cost, so it should not affect it. Maybe post this in bug section.

It's 0 cost + 3% ES isn't it. So it end up costing 3% ES.
You're just not supposed to use those together as that's not what the devs designed it for |
