Dawn of the hunt lightning warp ball lightning stormweaver

My friends had a really hard time with sorc in endgame in dawn of the hunt with lightning builds so i spent some hours trying to make it work and for now it is really fun to play and clears up to tier 5 (havent gone further yet) comfortably with good damage. Essentially just alternating ball lightning and lightning warp makes you teleport across screens blowing everything up. It is my first time posting anything so obviously be critical to what you see here as there may be some obvious issues. Stats required: 160 spirit and as much mana+energy shield as possible I made it work with around 20ex investment (half of that probably went to corrupting 4 sockets on gems xd). Skills: Lightning warp - considered casting - elemental discharge - unleash - elemental focus Ball lightning - acceleration - scattershot - conduction - coursing current Orb of storms (put on bosses) - lightning exposure - strip away - font of mana Spirit: Archmage - lightning mastery Blasphemy - conductivity Can also add mana tempest to put ontop of bosses together with orb of storms if you want. Also if you get 30 extra spirit, mana remnants is pretty good too since you are constantly inside packs. For gear after 160 spirit just get mana + energy shield on everything and make sure to cap resists. For the weapon I currently have a voltaic staff with pretty average rolls (try to atleast get +6 lightning skills), but using a wand and shield combo would probably be better if you get good items. Ascendancies in order: constant gale - force of will - heart of the storm - scouring winds PoB (currently lvl 75): https://maxroll.gg/poe2/passive-tree/r54p20b9 Obviously with more mana you can work towards possibly using mind over matter and eldritch battery in the future, but for me now this is not possible due to mana. nice post!
was coming up with something super similar and still refining/testing. ur skill-tree gives me some ideas. ty for that! i am focusing on crit using elemental storm as well. clear speed and rares are no issue. but have to figure out bosses more. mana is a constant issue and i doubt we can make mind over matter/elldritch battery work. :/ |

I first tried to build around crit aswell but as I didn't have any crit gear at the time I couldn't make it work too well, good to hear that it is possible, if I get the time I will try it out :) Also got a staff with the sigil thingy on it that increases spell damage, haven't tried it out but should also help with bosses when combining orb of storms mana tempest and the sigil and just spamming ball + warp on it. Big problem does seem to be getting the boss stunned for easier damage, maybe even converting all lightning to cold or going for electrocute would be nice to help, hard to line up all of the things on top of the guy if he keeps running all over the place. An afterthought I had- perhaps incorporating a weapon swap would make eldritch battery and mom viable during bosses, not sure but let me explain: Since you aren't constantly spamming during bosses you would us up less mana obviously. Add to that the fact you can remove for example the mana on kill from the tree entirely since you will not be killing big packs (replacing it with h more mana regen). For the weapon swap you would definitely need a wand and shield with less + skills but heaps more mana and regen. Would help survivability and probably damage too, just not sustainable for constant clearing so that's what you would use the original setup for. Again- haven't tried and I am also skeptical about ever having enough mana for both of those passives at the same time with archmage. Последняя редакция: EggManY#4168. there are some rly easy obtainable crit nodes to test it out. I noticed at around 20% crit chance the thing procced at every mob group. Not sure yet though how good it is and if worth it. I also use that staff on weapon swap (used to it from last league when I played a witch). Its a great thing! main weapon set I use a wand and a shield. but I am exploring the idea of foci (more umpf) or scepter (more spirit) U write about bosses not getting stunned. I did not notice this so far -> what do u use on ur orb of storm? I also combine mine with the lighting curse on bosses. -> EDIT: saw u posted it in first post. Will check after work what I have in there I tried around with MOM and eldritch but I could not get it to work at all. The mana is simply not there. Instead I am looking into other stuff. currently using blasphemy with 2 defensive curses. Questions: - what lvl skill gem are u using for the ball? I use the lowest lvl possible to save mana. my main dmg comes from warp. - I have noticed that mobs stun way more this league and it can get a huge mess cause of it. Took some nodes to combat that and it helped. Did u notice that as well? Wish I would have enough spirit to afford blink as well. would help in dicey situations. - with mana stacking been made impossible this league and therefor MOM/eldritch not possible I see many other options to try, but they all cost spirit. I am srsly considering trying a scepter as off hand. Have u thought about this? Open for more ideas and suggestion. Also having my char in path of building to try weapons/gear and see the effect. I primarily play ball lightning in poe1 with sire of shards and cwc cyclone. Lots of fun there.
Here, I have sire, however, the dps is lacking to a degree. I can use LW to help burst down packs, however, with sire, it looks like I am playing flickerstrike (nova projectiles). I am not using archmage or eldritch battery since they make the costs high, however I found running mana remnants helps a lot, since BL can crit easily with a small crit investment, has super high shock chance, so remnants drop everywhere. A popular more multi is from the skeleton spike + cleric combo. I can give AM a try, just the mana is not 2k, so not much of a boost there. There is a nice unique body armor that gives max mana as armor, so a useful phys mitigation layer. Wish wildshards was boostable to 100%. I like the spray. |

If you REALLY want LW to be something, just focus on it and orb of storms. Orb has a pretty big chain option and you can increase cast speed to get 7 casts of LW per second. With orb, that is roughly 8 beams per second. With a 19 orb, you have 5 or 6 seconds of beam spamming.
If we could have that many casts of ball lightning per second, it would be far superior to do that. One of the other things that was good was BL and Conduit on cast on shock. But they nerfed that all down. Almost better to put LW on cast on shock and just BL |

I feel my dps is lacking. I think, perhaps, electrocute is a nice to have, but investing in it is pointless when the dps is low enough to make t1 maps pretty slow. https://maxroll.gg/poe2/pob/jf4ld0o9
