The g patch will not fix the loot issues
TLDR; Without a built-in loot filter and better crafting.
GGG's proposed "fix": 1) Higher "quality" ceiling on boss drops 2) Greater overall "quality" of boss drops 3) Higher ceiling on "quality" of Azmerian Wisp boss drops And that's it for now. All of this means that the only changes will come from boss drops, and whatever they mean by the word "quality". Classic ARPGs have always followed a consistent pattern: Kill->Loot, Kill->Loot, Kill->Loot. Action->Dopamine In my opinion, this means every challenging encounter should produce worthwhile rewards commensurate with the challenge. Limiting the changes to boss drops is a good start, assuming the loot "quality" corresponds to the accompanying challenge. But two main issues remain: a) lack of an in game loot filter; and b) lousy crafting options. Some games (I won't mention names, but one in particular starts with a "D" and ends with a "4") trivialize this by showering players with Legendaries, and no need to even craft most of them. Some games, like PoE2, make good loot so infrequent that an entire industry has been created around trading, such that most players expect that the only way they will get the gear that they want is by buying it from other players. I'm not here to promote Last Epoch, I *strongly* prefer the look and feel of Path of Exile 2 and plan to continue playing it as my main ARPG. But LE has a very rewarding respect for the Kill->Loot dynamic as well as a fabulous, easy-to-use built-in loot filter, so that I am constantly on the lookout out after any kill for items of interest which I can then either use or integrate into my crafting agenda. The excellent crafting system, the built-in loot filter, all combine to mitigate the dangers of dropping too much good loot, and produce a really good overall loot flow that feels perfect. Until GGG adds an easy-to-use built-in loot filter, and a decent crafting system, I believe the loot problems will persist. I'm hoping that GGG sees the "g" patch as only the first step in getting to the point where loot feels good. It's a crying shame that this storied franchise with such a long and glorious history, is being left behind now as the chump of the bunch. Man does not stop playing because he grows old. He grows old because he stops playing. - Oliver Wendell Holmes Последняя редакция: Winterfury#4666. Время: 21 апр. 2025 г., 19:16:37 Last bumped21 апр. 2025 г., 14:04:12
