Returned for easter season. Here are my thoughts.

So I got a healthy pause since launch. Life has been keeping me busy, meaning I have gotten a healthy distance to the game before playing it again.

I have missed the seemingly controversial launch of the new update which I do not mind at all.

My Mercenary on Standard league has been great fun in mapping so far. It feels fair suddenly. Decently challenging without my character feeling weaker. How you did that I have no clue. But it is great fun.

The added content has been fun to explore. I do hope it won't be too long for an even greater variety of maps to be added to the endgame. Those few already made it much better. Once we seldomly play the same maps twice within a day, you will probably have created a masterpiece.

Bossing seems fairer. Mapping is fairer, though I would have taken out exp loss instead of given respawns. Some new gems have been fun to play around with. I am however very sad to see no new crossbow unique even though it got teased in the trailer.

For the new class. Well. I tried to play it for a bit. But...
I think I am not going to put myself through the acts again. It seems boring to me. I will wait until cruel gets replaced by the final acts. Otherwise it is very tiring to be biting into the same content as before. Even if the campain map improvements are nice. This problem is gonna stay though. I wonder what your solution will be. Every mmo-type eventually faces this problem regarding starter zones, so I would guess you already should have an idea on how to handle it in the future.

I have had no problem regarding combat, be it early or endgame. I like your dark souls approach to things. It is my genre and its keeping me here. But it seems I missed the worst part so... lucky me?

Of course, like with maps, more build variety is needed. But we have time, and I trust your company to eventually fulfill the promise of horizontal progression and freedom within complexity.
