Assassin Poison build tips and help.

Hello all, I'm a brand new PS5 player to Path of Exile and was looking to see if anyone would be willing to share some guidance on scaling poison and how I should build up my defenses as well as any other tips.

I am currently running low tier maps for harvest and my clear is pretty good but I get burst down way too quickly. I'm currently a glass cannon but I don't know where my defensive focus should lie. My posion also struggles to scale in later maps, maybe that's just the limit to my build.

I recently saw a build that I wanted to try out that uses Quill Rain and lots of flat lighting damage Abyss Jewels with the gauntlets that make it so lightning damage can poison. I've also been using Split Arrow with Barrage support, returning projectiles, Unbound Ailments and Whithering touch but I'm limited to links right now, I'm rolling for a 6-link Quill Rain.
