Some suggestions for improving the atlas interface
It can often take me a bit of time to plan things out on the atlas, so I figured I would share some suggestions for improvements to the atlas interface.
1. Option to "collapse" map-content badges above maps Some areas of my atlas have clusters of several maps close together, each with 5+ content badges over them (sometimes even appearing on 2 separate lines). These badges often overlap and are covered up by another map's badges (shown in 1st image below). An option to collapse these badges and have them expand on mouse-over could greatly improve visual clarity on the atlas. I made a mock-up of what I pictured. Overlapping badges: (You can also see a corruption badge appearing on a 2nd line over one map, in the lower-left center) ![]() Mock-up: ![]() 2. Search-bar for the atlas Searching for maps on the atlas with, for example, an increased experience modifier, can take loads of time and luck, having to individually check maps individually. It would be hugely helpful to be able to search for certain modifiers, content, map layouts, bookmark text, etc. via text (and regex). Maps which match the search could maybe get a breathe-blink highlight, like how passives on the tree do when they match a search. 3. Increased number of bookmarks, and increased character-limit of bookmarks Love the atlas bookmark system, by the way. But the 16-bookmark limit does feel a little low as I progress, and I often hit the 23-character limit. I'd love to see these increased a bit. Maybe up it to 32/64 bookmarks with a 49-character limit to match the stash tab notes limit? 4. Show the tablet modifiers being granted by a watchtower on mouse-over I've been using my atlas bookmarks mostly to note down some of the modifiers on the precursor tablets I've used in them. The mods can of course be seen when you mouse over a map within the tower's influence ring, but it gets a bit messy with overlapping tower rings, especially when 10+ mods are affecting the map, and multiple towers grant the same mod. I like to keep track of which tower gives what mods, just to better plan what to do with nearby towers with overlapping influence, so having them displayed on the watchtower would be helpful. 5. Alt+hover to distinguish/separate atlas modifiers, similar to how alt+hover works on equipment. Being able to see additional info about a map's mods would be greatly appreciated. Again, maps with 10+ mods feel a bit messy to read, making it tough to pinpoint a specific modifier. Maybe a map has 24% increased experience gain, I'd personally like to see how many separate experience modifiers from towers are contributing to that total. 6. Better visibility of corrupted and cleansed modifiers on atlas (alt+hover?) Trying to figure out which modifier is from the corrupted/cleansed mod pool is a bit rough when the map has 10+ modifiers, especially since some of these mods can also be granted by precursor tablets. Some sort of highlighting on the corrupted/cleansed mods specifically would be great. 7. Improved visibility of a selected watchtower's radius Highlighting a watchtower's radius when selected or on mouse-over would be a nice addition as well. It can be a little hard to distinguish sometimes in areas with multiple overlapping towers. 8. Highlight modifiers on a map which are granted by a selected watchtower Maybe this one is a reach, but I'd personally love to be able to click on a watchtower, then hover (or alt+hover) over a map within its influence, and see the mods which are granted by that tower highlighted.
