“Meaningful” passive tree
Look the word meaningful is being used for everything you guy do or don’t want to do but honestly this passive tree has very little meaningful nodes. Hardly any defensive layering I mean without spell suppression the evasion builds are basically gambling when you’re going to get one shot. I feel like 75% of the topside is either mana, es, or crit and it’s so boring. The passive tree has always been a way to solve gear issues with resist or life or pretty much anything but now that crafting is basically nonexistent and the passive tree is filled with air the only way to fix gear is spam 1000 alchs on bases and hope for the best or get it to drop which lol those barely exist at the moment as well. Nothing about any of that seems “meaningful”. IMO the easiest fixes would be Alt Orbs, Some better defensive options in the tree, DIV CARDS (for our SSF brothers who are struggling the most rn), and better drops which is the goal for next patch. Thank you have a nice day!

" It's what they were striving for I guess. Part of me wants to think whoever led the discussion for these ideas will no longer be leading those discussions. I'm not even implying anything by that either. I just want the game to succeed like everyone else. It's all on leadership to steer their extremely valuable developers and staff into the correct direction, or they'll end up burning down everything. I don't want any of the talent over there going to waste, it's simply poor decision making by their "leaders". I don't want people livelihoods to be worse off because of some poor decisions that they didn't even have control over. I really don't think it's such a complicated issue. I guarantee you not even all the leaders are part of the problem, it might even be just a few people, or maybe even a single person, but it needs to stop. Somethings gotta give over there. The silence from them is giving us all a headache. But, well, what can you do but hope for the best! and prepare for the worst. |

there is a ton of air there. the tree does not feel as meaningful as it did in poe1 at all.
str side is a ton of +15% armor nodes mostly. lvl 90 and i dont think there is a single notable i would actually want to take left. and no open jewel spaces to work towards seeing they got nerfed off the passive tree. not only is crafting none existent. the itemization is boring too. you get 6 affixes. and the pool of possible prefix and suffix is small for each item type. ilvl does not matter because even a ilvl 82 can roll a t1. the "build defining" unique items are all boring. who is going to take a penality to move faster while blocking, and how is zoom blocking build defining? another useless item worth nothing. |

Most of what you say i could agree with , but please, dear fucking lord, NO Div cards (though im sure GGG will do it all again in this game somehow, any way they can).
That game just got too much fucking bloat junk (and frankly, after seeing most uniques are useless and the drop rates for any that are decent - this is off to about the same start). To be fair to POE1, it actually had a few cool items in CB... Things like Deaths Harp, and then nerfed. Shit, everything good was nerfed out the gate in that game too. lol. Its clear though, that in all this time, theres not much new ideas in GGG. In fact, in my opinion, the last absolutely clever fantastic thing to ever be in POE, is taking sockets, plugging skills into them, attached to other sockets, that more skills and supports can go in. That was the "Defining" moment for a sparking new addition to the ARPG market, it was Chris Wilsons glorious design. And it was just the right time. And its never been topped since. Lets also not forget though, that most of this game was literally admittedly fashioned around D2, and it shows. But, again, thats just my opinion. GGG - Why you no? I actually kind of agree, at least for me, and travel nodes have not aged well imo when travel nodes aren't a bonus, now travel nodes are like a dull necessity for your build and sometimes it's like, oh no, I need to pick up more travel nodes just to wear my gear. Yay.
I feel like they TRIED to simplify the tree and make it so almost everything the tree does is just like, give you some very easy to intuit stats. So like more damage, more damage, more damage. Upside/downside. I dunno... do you guys think it might be because numbers are lower in POE2? So when you multiply your damage via tree it doesn't go up quite so much and doesn't scale up quite so much and just doesn't help you as much. I don't know... |

" Yes, that is one of the huge problems we have now. It wasn't that big of a problem in 0.1, but now its snowballed into something much worse (because everything got nerfed to smithereens obviously) I remember from the 0.2.0b update notes... they said - " What in the world did they mean by "100% life"??? Are they talking about 100% from the monster life that was in 0.1.0? or are they talking about 100% to fool us into thinking that they never adjusted monster life from 0.1.0 at all? Sounds quite misleading Call me curious |
