Trial of Sekhemas cruel, no ascendancy possible

This happened because i died on Baballas just as i defeated her.
A Djinn Barya dropped but i was unable to pick it up because i died.
No coin was left on the floor upon return.

Defeated Balballa again in new instance -> coin animation was there, but no coin.

Tried Sekhemas cruel anyway. Final ascendancy tower said: no skill points available.

Quest stage = Talk to Zarka.
She does not have a speech option.
