is There any point to Vaaling a Research Strongbox?

I feel like it becomes more likely to give vaal orbs, but I've only done that to 20 or so. Could easily be rng/my biased view.

Most likely no point corrupting it, in poe1 you have chance for extra mods with corruption, in poe2 we dont have that. Also sadly for the moment except for rarity/quantity there is no much reason to try getting more mods on the boxes and maps.
