They Said NO NO: Blood Mage + Crossbow + Bleed = ???: 🩸

so like, ppl doing blood mage + rake + trial + lightning spear and it SLAPS tbh. clears nice, good bossing, looks clean.

but my dumb brain is like “what if... crossbows??”
still wanna go bleed, still wanna go blood mage, but instead of melee skills or LS (god damnd LS), just go pew pew with bolts lol.

is this cope or could it actually work? anyone tried smth like this or am I inventing new ways to suffer

There are xbow skills with bleed? Whole bleed thing is "spears are OP" and "spear has designated bleed skill". Its spear thing improved by bloodmage. Spear is base, BM is enhancer. So what you use with xbow as base?

actualy at begining with 0.2 i tested some. we have almost nothing but 1 skill for bleed. but its just bleed effect on it. iam just trying to figure out if there is 'something' that we can use like trial to finish bosses instant. and aswell as for mapping, any idea for xbow? maybe galvanic with alot ele nods? while as bloodmage we enchane it? dunno

According to this, you can make such a build by combining Rapid Shot with Lacerate.

Personally I would go with a level 20 Armor Piercing Rounds because they have higher bolt numbers by default and can guarantee bleeding better, but it would be less damage, I think.
