Stuck stage 1 - cannot access first town - item cannot be picked up

I started a new character, I can take first crossbow and first gem, but after that I can't pick up anything and after defeating the first boss and taking my first level point in the passive skill tree I can't access the first town.

You can close this thread, it seems that I needed to kill every mobs and have taken my lvl 2 before entering the boss room in order to pass
