Weapon swap caused crash, now every time I attempt to log in to that character, I crash.

While playing my warrior, I attempted to switch to my secondary weapon set while in my hideout. As soon as I swapped weapons, the game crashed to desktop. Now, while I can log in to other characters without any issues, trying to log in to my warrior from the character select screen causes the game to crash again. I suspect the crash is related to the secondary weapon set.

I’d really like to play my warrior, but I’m not sure how to fix this issue. Where do I go to get questions answered because it feels like everyone is just screaming into an empty hallway.

You probably have a different issue, admittedly, but for the sake of trying if you have any MTX assigned to your weapons/skills you could try removing them.

You could do this by using a sacrificial character (e.g., new character) and instead equipping that mtx to them, removing it from the original character. If this caused the new character to crash it would confirm the issue and also free up the first.

Long shot, but worth trying as it is one thing you can still do when the character can't be accessed.



You could also check your client.txt log file (in your install directory\logs folder if on PC) and look to see if there is an error reported at the end of the log just before you crash. This may give you an idea of what is at fault.

Also worth checking your file integrity. On PC standalone install, use the PackCheck.exe tool in the install directory. On Steam, verify file integrity in the game manage/... menu.

Thank you for posting to help. I don't have any MTX. I verified the integrity of the files a few days ago and this is the error I get from the client.txt. "[JOB] Irrecoverable Exception Callback: SET"

The error only occurs when logging into my warrior.

Not sure if it's related but I was part way through The Spires of Deshar and now whenever I try to log in on my Amazon I crash. All other characters are fine and I've tired many different[ settings to no avail.
I'm pretty sure this is a server side issue.

Update: Tried again and the area has reset. I am now able to use this character again.

Still occurring.
