Guiding Palms are not updating after using a Divine

With the recent update to the uniques system, I decided to try and update my guiding palms using a Divine to try and get the new benefits they offer. However, it seems that it is either intentional or maybe just a bug, but the item's buffs did not update to their new form. Could someone confirm if this is in fact an error of the game?
