The Key to Happiness in PoE2
I love Path of Exile 2, the GGG team, and really their approach on things for the most part. With that being said, I really had to come to a place where I accepted my inability to change the mind of the devs. Once I did this, I began to have more fun in the game. I started a new character recently and just WOW the campaign is still banger!! With that being said, I did the stuff below and I'm a much happier player. I hope this helps someone else who has spent real hard $$ on this and is frustrated.
-If you are doing things correctly, nearly all of your deaths will be lag related, and there is nada you can do to prevent it. Not a single thing. Accept this. It's not your fault. -Best of luck Omen of Ameliorating your way past 96 in 0.2.1, sorry late arrivals. Again, not your fault. -If you need item upgrades, your best bet is paying the heavy currency trade cost if you can even find a player online to trade with in the first place. The game assumes you will be in an environment where many players are online and copious similar versions of your item will be on the trade site. Very few are playing the game now, so it isn't your fault. -You threw on the magic find gear, you ran the boosted maps and tower overlaps... The items didn't come. This isn't your fault: How could it be when you did your part? -Don't count on meaningful item drops for progression, but be happy in the rare instance you do find one!! They do happen. Save the ones you find for all the other classes besides the one you play (because that's the odds). One day... If GGG figures it out, players may return. You can always trade up then. Sorry SSF, no help is coming for you. Give it up, you can't control it. -Be ready to drop tons and tons of items with, "Reduced Attribute Requirements," and, "Light Radius." Oh, and adds 1-4 physical damage on level 82 gear. The game clearly believes you need these above all other stats. You can't force GGG to accept that players don't want to see useless stats, or weird stuff like 3 elemental dmg types showing up on a weapon, etc. -New servers are probably not coming. They didn't do it with PoE1. Why would a company suddenly change it's model? You can't sway them to improve this, no one has succeeded in over a decade. Let it go, its out of your control. -Expect terrible lag on PoE1 releases if you are on PoE2. GGG can't seem to let go of the past. That's ok, and it's their right as a company. Accept it, it's out of your control. -Stuff like the rug pull on the Scourge Commander gear getting taken out temporarily is bound to happen. And Grim Feast... And um... the cosmetics from PoE1 that can't be used... And other fun rug pulls. They happen, it's O.K. More important things take precedence, like loot proofing the game from professional farmers rather than banning them. You can't control this. -Ever feel like there are two or even possibly three core design teams at GGG which are at war with one another? One side takes away this, the other side takes away that, etc etc. Tit-for-tat childish stuff? I often wonder if this is the case because design decisions conflict with one another so very often. As if there is poor leadership oversight, or multiple teams with wide ranging power to make alterations without the other team knowing (poor communication). You can't solve this for GGG as a player. They have to work this out, just give the honest feedback along the way and let go of any hope of it being received well. -Sometimes step back and just appreciate how BAMF your characters actually are that you got to the point where upgrades are ultra rare. Pat yourself on the back because once GGG gets casual crowd back, you are going to be ultra on the trade market and you know it :) -Remember, GGG are human. They make mistakes just like we do. Have some compassion and drop good feedback too. People need to hear the good stuff as well, and this game is such a beast that it will obviously take time to make it perfect. Be patient, it's 0.2.1 still. No leniency on 1.0 at this rate though, lol Last bumped15 июн. 2025 г., 09:00:51

" Not so fast!! I'm still in denial + bargaining on some things if you read it closely!! "Be patient, it's 0.2.1 still. No leniency on 1.0 at this rate though, lol" Ironically, I help people process grief as a profession. Your humor had me in stitches, and it's not far off from truth at all :) Thx for the good laugh, meph <3 |
