I survived the 98.2 Exodus!!

I guess a lot of other players couldn't handle not finding gear outside of the online trade community, and then quit. I'm proud to be one of the players who kept on going, or as Joe Dirt would say, "Keep on keeping on."

The game went from 560,000 players on steam at release to 9,800 players as of today. I can't help but feel sorry for the players who didn't give it a chance because that means like 98.2% of the population are now missing out on the fun of PoE2. It makes me sad to know that! The game is really fun, even if upgrades quit dropping after they re-made how the Atlas maps work. The gameplay alone is worth it.

A few fixes and it'll be nice to see those numbers rise again. Either way, I just wanted to share my opinion and say how happy I am to still be playing this awesome game! I'm one of the 9800 remaining, and I am still going to keep rolling this amazing AARPG.

Thanks for all the hard work, GGG, game rocks!!!

the ppl who gave up is not all because of trading.

theres alot of reasons, starting with this bad developing bad mechanics. but dont worry. soon you will be among maybe 100 players at most.

i deleted 2 toons today level 94 and 90, kept best toons and deleted game from pc.

[Removed by Support] maybe i could be back.

Still 15k people playing despite the new poe1 league. I guess you shouldn't go into stocks with that knowledge in forecasting.

pretty weak to not delete all of em
That's amazing man goood job
Well, to be honest I'd be playing right now, if I didn't disconnect 3 times in an hour. So if the game starts functioning again we might get a lot more players...

the beatings shall continue until morale improves
I'm still playing a lot with my partner. We are couch coop sickos. We have probably a thousand hours into the game at this point. Anyway I think it's pretty understandable why the playerbase declined - they've played through the content and a new POE1 season was released. I'm sure they're going to have a huge uptick in users when 0.3.0 releases.
Quite a number of my buddies got into this at launch and haven't touched it since. They like the bones, just waiting for much more content/full release. One other guy was hanging in there for a bit but he was just following build guides cause he can't handle the meta-game to progress in end-game. I finally dropped out about a week ago because the networking in this game is so bad I couldn't get anything meaningful accomplished in an enjoyable way.
I'm here because I know fine well that when league refreshes are more frequent, there's not a cat in hells' chance that I'll get to fight end game bosses! I'm enjoying being at a stage where I can take these guys on.

But otherwise; I'd be long gone. Trading is practically dead and I cannot afford any upgrades; I'm totally priced out of the end-game market. Mapping is laborious when I know I'm going to be disconnected from 1/3 maps. Despite the citadel changes, I still cannot find an Iron Citadel anywhere ...

and tbh; running map after map of the same content is a bit tedious. 99.9% of the time I'm LMB winning without any thought. Then I suddenly die from some unknown gotcha and I buy another omen of amelioration.
