Going back to campaign maps after reaching endgame is a mess
First of all, because I am certain some folk will reply to this asking "why on earth I would want to go back to campaign maps instead of just using waystones?" here's a list of reasons why it happens:
- To kill a unique boss you might have skipped, some of them have permanent rewards. - To go find a specific critter for Binding Spectre / Companion - To test a change in build/skill set without the risk of death and its penalties. - To change the relic bonus in Act 2. - To farm low-level Barya or Ultimatums Now as for the problems it causes: - Congratulations, from now on you will start the game at some campaign Town instead of your hideout. - If you went to Act 3 specifically, the waypoint location changed and you have to be constantly using the time portal to navigate. - The moment you go back to hideout or Ziggurat refuge, a lot of sounds play to remind you that you've completed quests -.-. - Town portal takes you to campaign town instead of hideout/refuge. I wish that once you reached endgame, your town portal would always take you to ziggurat, your hideout or guild hideout depending on which one you've visited most recently. It was pretty awful to run for a minute or 2 to boss, but otherwise I see no problem.
You CAN do them while in acts too. |
