Act 3 map portals gone

Hi there,
So I finished act 3(normal) and now moved on to act 1 (cruel level).

I went back to act 3(normal level) to farm a bit and noticed all the map waypoints are gone. I could not find them. So I quit the game and restarted, now there back.
This keeps happening.
Is this a known bug?
