Look listen GGG
Myself and my girlfriend are fairly casual gamers, we played a lot of Diablo 3 and Diablo 4 probably around 2000-3000 hours combined. We tried poe2 when it released on ps5 into early access and have played both leagues for a combined 700 hours together. We’ve spent way more on cosmetics, stash tabs and other in game items than we have ever spent on a game. Your game is awesome until you hit around lv90 when it just becomes in our opinion so devoid of fun. The only chance of upgrading equipment requires spending 100s of divine orbs on your trading website and making one mistake and getting one shot killed destroys all your progress for the whole day. Could you please sort out the lv90 to lv100 experience so we can enjoy your game past level 90 and spend even more on cosmetics. Myself and my partner were going to treat ourselves to a set of wings each for our characters but when you spend more time going backwards than forwards what’s the point.

" Day? Dude, one death I lose weeks... But, the 90-100 is a cold grind. In poe 90 is the 100. 90-100 is only if you want the higher grind. I can say it's a path on its own. And it's ok to be on 90. The need for the last 10 points it's usually because we don't have a lot of character power with what we have in the game atm, and we starve to have more. With development of the game, we will have enough character power with 90 lvl, and we wont be find the need to be 100. IMO, it's fine as it is. |

In fairness. In PoE, and PoE2, hitting 100 is not an expectation and GGG expect only the most hardcore players, streamers and grinders to do. Its certainly NOT for causals.
People who do it, often do it in exp groups. The quality of upgrade however has not much to do with level. You can equip every gear at level 90 (correct me if I am wrong.), and eventually you will hit a wall. This is not unique to PoE2. Having said that, some criticism is valid. The cost to upgrade get exponentially more expensive for often marginally gains, but it wasn't always the case (in PoE1). It got Exponently more expensive over the years as the game gradually shift to Crafting meta. Also, it does feels bad, after spending a full day or two playing and not making progress, in some case negative progress if you die. |

Ha...the Diablo 3/4 indoctrination, such a detriment to the arpg community.
That's how it's intended, when you reach 90, you're pretty much done and you can consider starting a new characters. Tech guy
