Bestiary is locked, unable to beast craft

I was creating imprints of a dagger all morning, and all of a sudden I'm unable to craft anything using any recipe. Selecting imprint doesn't bring up any beasts in the windows for the recipe. I tried other options and now get the same thing. I am on ps5 pro and playing on the ps5 version of the game.

Also when trying to test with just a currency craft, I get a message at the bottom saying "item level: ???"
