Could the widespread crashings not be met with radio silence?

2-3 days and still crashing every other minute

At the very least, updates on the issue would be cool. I mainly want to know if i will be able to play the first ever console gauntlet or if this crash-filled patch just prevented me (and many others) from getting the lootbox.
