Patch 0.3 might end up being worse than than 0.2
I mean Endgame-wise, for a non-casual player. Campaign looks like it will be a very good time though.
-Towers(arguably the worst part of endgame) remain unchanged. -Atlas passive tree is still bare bones. -No controller-kbm hotswap in 2025. I do not think I have ever played a pc game that didn't have this. For a game like POE, it's a net negative to QoL. -Some questionable nerfs in the patch notes. -Map prepping appears to be even worse now. Just imagine the steps; finding the right mods, deli (one-by-one), abyss mod(one-by-one, with animations, potential failures/do-overs). -Some new content requiring you to double down on playing bad maps. I feel the excitement for new content too don't get me wrong, but I'm also thinking about the burnout. Chasing towers is very demoralising. It's a chore in every game that has this kind of mechanic and it's even worse in POE 2. I’ll just play the campaign till I've had my fill and then go play something else tbh. Wait until you read patch notes and see all the nerfs. BUT the direction of the game is going in the right now for sure.

Most non-casual players will quit after 1 week. I personally will log in to change some of my premium tabs to merchant tabs just to see how it works.
I'll also just study the tree for 1 or 2 hours. I might also try act 4 just to see the new content. But like you said, there's really no point in playing end game right now. It's absolutely dreadful. I don't think it will be worse than 0.2, that would be very spectacular if it was the case. No one will be or should be surprised if there will be numerous patches to fix this coming patch.
It's the circle of life. POE 2 is still looking for it's identity as everything seems to be having a reset when a huge patch like this comes in. We're going to be in EA for a long time. |

I think you’ve made a reasonable post with valid concerns.
You may not have seen it if you didn’t watch through the entire Q&A, but Mark did specifically address end game concerns. He said that the next patch will have many more end game changes. Although this patch had several changes, end game wasn’t a major focus. So I’m hopeful GGG are aware of these issues and they seem to be addressing them more seriously in the next patch. |

No new class...??? Lots of nervs again, like frostbolt, i was having a hard time clearing rares with frostbolt T15+ maps, now it will be a completely useless skill without changing how it can combo. No love for minions, if anything they will cost more now due to quality changing from reservation cost to damage and spectres not been able to have more than 1 active of the same spectre? I don't know if I'll even play the new league and story, it depends how my minions build feels 1st. If they feel even worse than before ill just get a new rpg game to play till next season.

" You may have missed the part where they removed minion accuracy, reworked several active minion skills, buffed minion active skills, buffed spectres via reservation cost and damage, buffed internalist dog, buffed unique boots that reduce undead minion reservation, buffed minion/companion attribute stacking by changing dexterity to provide increased attack speed, buffed warbringer’s ancestral spirit minions, buffed totems, added a new minion skill as mortar cannon. |

It might be, but it's also a 0.3 patch of an early access, you don't have to go further than is fun for you.
