Game needs more "temporalis"

First, I would like to say thank you for 0.3. Although it's still not launched and there will surely be many problems, just the fact GGG listened to the community is a huge step forward in a world dominated by companies that do not.

I watched the interviews and heard about the plans for 0.4, which as I understand will be an update for the end game, and possibly a rework of towers and the atlas for the most part.

Trying to keep this short, my suggestion is relatively simple:

More items like temporalis.

Of course, I'm not talking about the item itself, but the idea behind temporalis. The concept behind temporalis is an item that only a small amount of people will ever be able to get themselves, not through trading, and isn't entirely relying on rng drop but a challenge.

This challenge doesn't have to be the same kind of challenge, it could be an "impossibly" difficulty boss, or an "impossibly" difficulty sort of achievement.

I would also love more very end game bosses and maps past the new ubers, but I understand the worry about it making some buildings unviable. Although, I would argue meta is something that is going to happen one or way or another.

I remember when I first learned what Temporalis did, only thought I could come up with was, please delete that crap item, doesn't belong in the game really....

That has nothing to do with what I said. I'm not talking about the stats but the way to obtain temporalis...

So its more of a we need more items like:
The Last Flame
Instead of Temporalis itself.

That'll probably happen. GGG likes doing stuff like that. In PoE1 there are 4 staffs named things like north staff, south staff, ect. Fusing all 4 of them gives you a special map. Killing the boss of that map will always drop a specific unique potion.

Its not nearly as hard to do as TLF/Temporalis, nor is the actual reward itself as good. But it is kinda the same thing.

Look up Original Sin from Path of Exile, because that is what you're asking for basically. Just a key to a unique challenge and if you beat the challenge you get the item.
