Tower fixing idea

Not a Poe 1 player don't know how their atlas works perhaps this idea doesn't make a lot of sense but yeah.

Ok so Im a big fan of all the changes coming in 0.3. Looking forward to trying them out and was just listening to the interview with Ziggyd and had a good idea for towers it felt like. Based on the way Jonathan described the problem I was like why not have towers be two part sorta. SO here's what I think would help fix them and also be really cool. Tablets empower the maps and the atlas right but what if they empowered an item that you use into the map device alongside maps whilst letting you place the mechanics onto the atlas. So basically they still let you "control" placing the league mechanics you want into maps but also don't take away the bad experience of "leaving behind juice" because the juice part is now an item (will call it a core for now) that you choose what maps to spend its charge on. Firstly you can gain more charge for tower waystone difficulty like it is currently. Second it could make for a hard limit 1 tower amount of "juice" for maps meaning the ideology of needing multi towers no longer really exists. Third it removes wasteful feelings because you don't HAVE to use the core inside the range of this tower or on a map layout you don't like, its just a "juicing box" for any map. The only "sorta" problem I see with a concept like this is that you could still want the unique tablet powers for each league mechanic to be able to empower the maps but there's two ways of solving this. The unique powers that affect each league mechanic like dropping more splinters for delirium for example being separate and on a different area of the tablet that affects the atlas ONLY instead and the juice part of tablets getting split off from the tower itself into the "core" that you can use when opening each map OR instead keep the same and a warning system for players who are attempting to use affix's on their tablets "core" in maps that don't contain the relevant league mechanics for them to work. U can still use it if, for example, it provides a lot of rarity and you want that anyways but just so they are not wasting it unknowingly.

I think by separating the "juice" part of tablets from the "range limitation" of the towers you create a much better experience. U can still use towers for vision and control aka placing league mechanics you LIKE by using the respective tablets for it. It would also make it so you feel less wasteful because you don't feel like you have to play each map "as much" if you get to keep the "core" aka half of what the tablets provided. Also it means traversal between towers feels closer to equal because you could use their "cores" on those maps so long as the ratio to charge and maps is liberal then players could just stockpile them for rainy days and always have more than they need. Would allow choice over which maps a player thinks is best as well. Meaning they would save really powerful "cores" for when each players idea of "best" happens and allows to avoid feeling like they are wasting tablets as much, avoid feeling like losing out on exploration and avoid feeling like maps are worth "less" because now no map can ever be loaded with more than one core anyways.

Seems like a pretty cool way to approach it imo. Also could come with some cool animations by making it so you place the tablets INSIDE the map and boom blam tower beams out thematically towards each endgame league mechanic and forges your core as well. Use of colored beams would be awesome for each different one:?
