Price fixers solution
I have 2 ideas to solve issue with price fixers:
1. Allow to sell items (not currency) only when you found it. 2. Allow to sell items you bought, but price cannot be higher then you paid. What do You think and which would You pick? Last bumped23 авг. 2025 г., 16:29:27

" Neither, both are very bad ideas. I mostly played SSF but I will be playing trade league this season just to check the new acts. Even if the botters/players snipe items to price fix, it's 1000000% better than implementing those ideas. The thing that can slow down price fixing it the gold cost of buying/selling an item and this is where the energy should be put. So if you bought something and resell it, there could be a gold penalty higher and people would be ok with that, but NEVER on the value of the item, that would be asbolutely dumb. Imagine you buy something thats worth 3 div early. Then theres inflation 1 month later you want to change build. Everything is expensive and then your item is worth 30 div, you are saying you will sell it 3 div and buy a different item for 30 div? Dude no, just no, this is absolutely insane. And as for only be able to sell stuff you find, this also very bad for almost the same reason.......... Последняя редакция: Oinkaments#6390. Время: 22 авг. 2025 г., 16:13:08

Fix what?
Async trading should pretty much instantly fix price-fixing. They even talked in the livestream about how you can't change price for a short time after posting it to stop people from posting low then raising the price while someone is on the way. If someone posts an item at an absurdly low price with async you can just go buy it, then it goes away, price fixing is solved with Async. I'm sure there will be other new and exciting ways people discover to be butts with async trading, but it won't be price fixing. |

" people can flip your item, but you got what you asked for it. you can't really say fairer than that. but price fixing could still occur as players attempt to appraise their items vs non-merchant listings, because either the trade api is not implemented for it, or there aren't enough similar items listed for instant buyout (and so players fall prey to fake listings). To me result of the second solution is:
- bots are useless because the only reason to use the would be to buy under priced items (unless there are both that can farm valuable items) - flippers can stop playing this game - but my opinion currently flippers = bots - players for whom trade is an easy way to get an item will not copete with flippers (= bots) - inflation is more stable because some items on the market have fixed initial price - players for whom trade is more important than "clicking on monsters" the game is less attractive (should we care about them?) What kind of drawback would You see for players who just want to kill monsters? |

" Just play SSF, you can kill monsters and clear all the content. Trade league is probably not for you. " Where there's an economy there will be flipping. Flipping does not equate to botting. If someone bought something at a price in the past and the price of this item is now higher, he should be able to sell it at market price. |

They explicitly have always built the game around thriving player driven economies. This would destroy that, so I put it at 0% chance of ever happening as suggested. As someone that plays for the market, this change would make me quit if it did happen.

" A lot of players would, but OP thinks you are a botter. |

That's re-inventing bind on pick up/equip with some icing.
Play SSF brother, it's amazing. |

" I'm not against what "human players" are doing - I'm fine with that, but we have no chance against bots. I think most of the flippers (and price fixers) are bots. Just take a look into RMT how chip currency is. And now you can even buy gold (I'm guessing you are just getting some items you can sold for gold). I doubt they can offer all of this just because they have bots that farms currency/items. I'm looking for a ways to make botters life harder. Since you can buy gold in RMT, solution with "gold tax" for async trading will hit only normal players. Bots will always be faster then human players to buy underpriced items. So maybe you should not be able to sell items for gold you bought? " At some point I will. |
