Eye Of Winter Mana Cost

Not only is the damage weak AF, and you have to jump through hoops just to make the skill borderline usable (stack ground effects, snakepit takes up ring slot etc) but the mana costs are out of control.

Was theory crafting and have a look at this min maxed EOW (level 37 gem):



Just a reminder to devs, this needs not just a tweak it needs a massive change to the numbers.

I've made one character each league trying to make EOW work. Each time it felt bad. On EA launch I was at least able to get it to clear juiced maps and some end game bosses for 100+ div investment.

Now, they basically just killed the skill for me and killed a lot of my hype for the league start.

My whole interest in it was to use it for clear and also as a main skill on bosses.

At least on the upside I don't care about sorc anymore. I wasn't to keen on running around collecting elemental infusions just to make my skills work. I think this concept could be great but it needs to be like.. one or two infusions drop every 15 seconds and they give mega power boost or something. Running around every 2 seconds picking something up to deal damage doesn't sound like something I want to engage in.

Other classes don't have to load up their damage this way.

Sorc has to:

Collect infusions continually
Sigil of power
Cast curse
Mana storm (optional)
Frost bomb
Ice wall or flame wall

THEN you can start using your "power skills".

This gameplay sucks to me. And I love the sorc archetype.

Just make the game about skill in terms of facing boss mechanics. I don't want all this mess and slop in terms of loading my damaging and and rotating through 10 skills.
