End game monk, falling thunder and power charges, best sustain?

I've been using redflare conduit but now I am missing the stats from a good rare chest armor, while leveling/before that I was using killing palm and siphoning strike but as maps fill up with enemies those aren't fast/reliable enough to keep things going.

Combat Frenzy seems nerfed (but I guess it's still the only option? with resonance) and I've read about people using Three Dragons freeze build up /w fire infusion on herald.

Are these really the best options? Would prefer to stick with just using falling thunder to get the charges (and also spend them of course) - using multiple skills against screens of enemies still isn't really that viable/fun

You can also use profane ritual with unleash and other support to reduce the duration of the ritual to gain charges, i am using this in maps and its good but you need something to attack in between, like storm waves.

For example i start a map with storm waves to shock enemies, then i use syphoning strike to gain my first charges and then i use falling thunder and right after i cast profane ritual to consume 2 or 3 corpse at once, each giving 1 charge plus the chance of doubling it with charge profusion, then i just rotate between profane ritual and falling thunder.

For bosses, i gain charges with syphoning strike and most of the time falling thunder shocks him so i just syphon then falling thunder over and over.

Maybe not the best but its at least an idea you can try.
I really like Lingering Illusion, pull a pack and roll to build charges then blow up the screen, rinse and repeat.
