Interlude Quest States Couch Coop

Finished interlude 3 and and spoke to sin to go to the interlude 2. My brother joined couch coop and I now cannot access interlude 1.

Sin no longer has the option to start the quest and I cannot warp to waypoint, "You do not have the required quest state."

While similar problems often happen with different quest states with drop in/out coop, in this case my character can no longer start interlude 1 as it persists even when solo.
