Ancestral Warrior Totems and Endurance Charges
I can kind of understand what they were trying to do with this change, but it is a massive nerf to the skill making it almost completely useless for no other reason that Endurance Charge generation is almost entirely based on probability.
As of right now the only method for Non Monk builds to guarantee an endurance charge is Magma Barrier ( Which is currently bugged still and not affected by changes to duration ) which grants 1 charge when you block with an 8 second CD between. From there everything else is a percentage change to gain an Endurance Charge on Full Armour break, Stunning enemies, and a small chance to generate an extra charge from a passive tree node and a skill gem. Other than that, Mercenaries using Gemling Legionnaire can get an extra chance at an Endurance Charge every 8 seconds, with an increased chance based on how many supports of a particular attribute are socketed into your skill gems. Monks have it easier as they can take advantage of the Resonance Node to use Power Charge generation to instead get Endurance Charges, however you are locked to 3 max charges since all Endurance Charge nodes are over in the warrior side of the tree. ( Good Luck getting them too without that helpful middle section Path of Exile 1 has for crossing the tree more easily ) If this is the new standard for these totems we need more methods to generate charges or we need to see the endurance charge cost to summon them reduced. I can see GGG not giving a fuck here, because you can socket passive nodes to amulets.
Which is bad design, because you need end game materials, to enable skills which aren't reliable pre end game, but available during the late game. |
