[Support Gem bug] Decaying Hex does not count increased Chaos Damage from tree
Description:
The Decay effect applied by Decaying Hex Support does not scale with any other support gems. It also appears not to scale with character stats, except for Intelligence. I initially thought this was intended behavior, but since patch 0.3b (where Doedre's Undoing was fixed to benefit from spell damage and now scales from multiple stats), it seems inconsistent. Steps to Reproduce: - Add Decaying Hex Support to a curse skill (e.g., Despair). - Link additional support gems that should affect damage over time (e.g., Swift Affliction). - Allocate passive tree nodes that provide increased chaos damage. - Look at the skill tooltip. - Observe that the final damage equals 100% of Intelligence only, and is not multiplied by: 1. Increased chaos damage from the passive tree. 2. More damage over time from Swift Affliction. Expected Behavior: Decay should scale with relevant support gems and character stats, consistent with recent changes to Doedre's Undoing. Actual Behavior: Decay only scales with Intelligence and ignores other support gems and stat modifiers. Version: 0.3b Last bumped21 сент. 2025 г., 23:05:54

That behaviour is intentional pretty sure.
Its also not the same description as Doedres Decaying hex says "dealing 100% of intelligence AS chaos damage" while Doedre says Deals BASE Chaos damage equal to 200% of Intelligence" Thats a big difference. Yes we all would like decaying hex to scale, but they thought its too powerful for some reason. I think lately they even added its own timer to decaying hex, which is 8 seconds, but scales of skill duration. If you are after a synergy with effigy use decompose to create gigantic poison clouds. That way effigy will shoot anything that gets poisoned. |

" Should be scaled by generic increases to damage and chaos damage then. Like "deals % of health as fire damage" on corpse explosions. But it's not |
