POE2: Stuck at the Abbyss fight

I think I've bitten off more than I can chew and cannot seem to down the abyss boss after "upgrading" it a few times. I also cannot portal back to my hideout as the portals are disabled here and I cannot teleport to other players either.

How do I get my character unstuck from this situation?

in the character select if you ctrl click your character you will be moved to town or ho i think
its like making a new instance
